Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course due to the professor and the course text. The professor explains the class well, and is very encouraging yet firm about getting assignments done. The text is comprehensible and follows the class well.

    Course highlights:

In this course, basic calculus was well highlighted. Any higher level math or science can be based on what is learned.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework, as it helps force study for the tests. Also, do the hand in assignments: there are many free points that are given away if you do them thoroughly.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommen this course for anyone who was interested in continuing on with calculus all the way to calculus 3. This class was vary challenging but gave a good background into calculus and physics.

    Course highlights:

I learned a little bit of trigonometry, probability and statistics, derivatives, integrals, and maximization problems. among other things I learned how to prioritize since there was so much to be covered you couldn't possibly review everything before the final test in one or two weeks.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Set up a plan for yourself so you do not fall behind. Some people learn at a different rate than others but a plan helps so you don't get stuck on one aspect of the course. Of course there are assessment tests that you will have to pass within a certain amount of time before you can continue on but they offer a decent window to complete this.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is challenging, but professor Beinert does a very good job in helping students understand the material.

    Course highlights:

I took calculus in high school and through this course I repeatedly used those skills. They were really put to the test though, as this course was far more challenging than a high school class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to ask for help. Ask your professor how they would study, and ask others how they have studied.
