    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Church was one of the best professors I've had. He was always excited to teach and pushed to make sure we knew what we were doing.

    Course highlights:

Going in I had no idea how to program a single thing. I'd seen code before, but I didn't know what anything meant. I have the basics down pack now.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Try not to miss a single day. You'll miss a lot. Don't slack off and finish your code while the lesson is fresh in your mind. Hand written notes helped me a lot.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend not taking this course, but I would recommend taking Dr. Alarde's CSCI 1010 class instead. Bruster is okay at teaching, but I ended up using the book to understand concepts and coding more than I did him (because the book is better at explaining). He is a very nice man, but Alarde will challenge you more in class, he is more engaging, and just overall better at teaching this subject.

    Course highlights:

I learned coding in C++, and the highlights were when my code finally worked! Oh my goodness nothing is more frustrating than spending 6+ hours on a single project, and not having anyone to ask for help.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not be afraid to ask classmates for help on coding. Seriously, I could have saved myself a lot of grief if I just asked someone next to me. Also, do not take this class lightly, it is a part time job almost in time consumption.
