Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course because it is both interesting and helpful. If your goal is to get a degree in a science major, this course is the building block that can definitely get you started on your journey through science courses. This course touch basis on a lot of biological material that will be needed in your later biology courses. Also, it gives you a feel of what else is to come when taking other biology courses. Being in this course will challenge your minds on biological processes and makes you start using more critical ways of thinking. These skills are much needed when studying any science course!
I have gained so much from taking this course. Before I came to college, I had a limited amount of knowledge in Biology. However, once I attended this Biology course, everything became clearer. The course highlights topics such as scientists' contributions to biology, the functions and significance of the cell organelles, the processes of DNA replication, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, mitosis, and meiosis. An important aspect to learning this course is to take every concept you learn and form relationships between those concepts. It will help you understand this material and will make it easier for you to remember certain concepts. Memorization is also a huge part of this course. There are concepts and terms that you will have to remember in order to understand the course material. Also, it is helpful to know certain processes in a step-by-step method because a lot of the material consists of this. Other than the knowledge needed for this course, I have learned that biology is a course that you must dedicate yourself to if you want to succeed. Some of the material may be challenging but it always helps to ask any questions you may have about it. There is no such thing as asking a dumb question. Lastly, I have learned that scheduling office meetings with your professor for further questions and concerns about the material is a beneficial way to get a better understanding of biology.
