Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course gave me more insight on how to use the correct vocabulary in different situations.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write both formal and creative pieces and the major differences in both.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be very thorough before turning in essays. Multiple drafts increase the quality of the work.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Erica Lux is an excellent professor. She is amazing at helping you 1x1 outside and inside the classroom. There's several opportunities to speak with her during her office hours and she is amazing at helping format essays. Additionally, she understands that not every student is a great essay writer and takes the time to walk students through the intimidating process. I highly suggest that you take her course.

    Course highlights:

She exposed me to books and short stories that I had not yet read, and even the ones I had read she opened my eyes to things I previously missed. She assigns a lot of reading, but it's nothing that isn't very possible. She made English very interesting for me.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all the reading she assigns. She will never assign you "busy work" that isn't relevant to an essay or quiz we have. All the work I had to do in the class was very helpful actually and I really benefited from it. She quizzes the class at the beginning of the class after every assigned reading, so don't just skip out on reading it. She assigns bonus questions on the tests which does help a lot if you struggle on other things.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

She is a hard grader, but she gives good feedback and if you put in the effort to improve your writing, she will give you an A by the end of the semester.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to make a better thesis and how to stay on topic better in this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Follow directions, take her corrections on the rough draft, and if you can't think of something good to write then just write what you have and she'll help you.
