    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Fairly difficult class but Professor Baird made it fun! He was funny and sarcastic but also very knowledgeable. He was always willing to help. Lots of writing assignments!

    Course highlights:

Our main focus for the semester was philosophy. Did a lot of projects on philosophical studies. It was very fascinating.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always read carefully! Don't hesitate to ask the professor for help! Take advantage of his office hours. Rough drafts are important!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would absolutely recommend this course because of how much I have enjoyed it! The readings that we do in this class are both interesting and promote a deeper level of thinking. We thoroughly go over everything that we read. The teacher is very clear, intelligent, and gives you plenty of time and help with all of the major essays that are written in this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights are honestly the frequent readings that we have and the time we spend talking about each of them. I definitely learned how to look out for all of the key words that can tip a reader off to what the author really means in a piece of writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to really analyze the pieces of writing that you read and do not be afraid to ask the teacher for help if you are stuck or unsure what to write about. He definitely helped me.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Francisco is a wonderful professor. He gives his students a lot of advice needed for the real world. Not only is he an intelligent person, but he also cares about his students. I would recommend him to anyone taking their second english class at Pellissippi because he wants everyone in his classroom to succeed.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was getting to read all of the different poems and short stories. He taught us to read something and find a deeper meaning and then rather than telling us to write our opinions, he showed us how to research others opinions to back ours up.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

10/10 take this course and have an open mind. Francisco is great and is extremely passionate about his job and his students.
