Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The environment can be very intimidating at first, but in my experience, Speech became one of my most memorable classes at Roane State.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning more about myself and my classmates more than anything. I learned that yes I can stand at the front of a room and talk in front of a bunch of people without passing out.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to her advice and practice your speech before you give it. And learn the speech outline like the back of your hand, it'll make writing speeches much easier.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it brought me out of my shell a lot. I think that many freshmen should take this class to allow them to feel more comfortable speaking in front of people.

    Course highlights:

I took the five week, fast track version of this course. The environment was very warm and inviting. My classmates were very understanding. I learned a lot about the elements of a speech and how to present a speech.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You have to follow direction in this course. You will do well if you can follow directions well. You also need to have time to compose speeches and time to practice them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it makes you more open to talking to people. Standing up in front of everyone during all your speeches makes you a more open and social person.

    Course highlights:

I gained the courage to be able to talk in front of a bunch of fellow students.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I always wrote down notes while he was talking, it helped me realize what I needed and didn't need for my speeches.
