Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

because southwest is a small school, it is easy to get a better understanding on assignments. Teachers attempt to build a personal relationship with everyone attending their class. They treat you as an adult and help not only when it is expected, but also when it is needed, Southwest gives a challenge while still making college life simple enough not to get too far behind on work when situations come up.

    Course highlights:

we read multiple articles within our class. The professor showed us different styles of writing and better ways to engage the audience. We gave opinionated and summarized papers in class. We worked together to assess our peers papers and observed each person's style of writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

English gets easier if you do not wait to the last minute to finish assignments. Also, staying alert and paying attention to all of the details that the teacher gives in order to stay on top of how the papers are meant to be written helps to improves final essay grades.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was the most fun I had in a class in such a long time. Professor Akin really knew how to keep the class engaged.

    Course highlights:

I learned mostly about citations, which has always been a rocky concept for me. The professor made sure I had all of the help I needed. It was great to have such a supportive teacher.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell students to not be afraid to talk to the professor. She really is one of the most approachable teachers I've ever had, and she usually would help you work out extra credit if you were falling behind, as well as allow you to make up classwork if there was a reason you missed the class.
