    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If your into art history, this is a great course to take. It was by far one of my favorite classes. This course is not for people who are trying to take an easy class and get an easy A, Professor Taube assigns work that really broadens your mind. You definitely have to make the effort to get that A. If your interested in French art then this course will be great for you!

    Course highlights:

Ive learned a great deal of information regarding French art, she begins with Rococo and ends with Realism. Professor Taube thoroughly goes through the progression of French art, from the ending of 18th century to mid 19th century art. Its amazing to see how things change in a small amount of time and how historical events inspired a lot of the images being created, for example the French Revolution allowed other artists to express their opinion on what they felt was wrong about it. Everyday was a highlight for me because I learned so much, Professor Tuabe is an amazing professor and knows so much, I filled up a whole notebook on notes! Im taking her again for Impressionism which is a follow up after Realism and the class has been amazing thus far. Realism has inspired me to take a study abroad trip to Paris this upcoming summer which just shows how great the course was.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to take tons of notes and to write! She goes in depth with a lot of visual detail which for some people it may be overwhelming but like I said if your into art, this would be a great class to take. You'll gain a lot of knowledge.
