    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was interesting if you are interested in ancient art. There are 2 three page papers and the grading is tough. Lectures go over specific works of art and exams are straight forward.

    Course highlights:

Learned about ancient art-Roman, Greek, Egyptian all the way up until the Renaissance. If you enjoy post-renaissance more than take 106 rather than 105. Lectures are enjoyable and learned a lot about different styles of art.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you like modern art better than ancient then take AH 106 instead of 105. They are both intro classes but 105 is not a prerequisite. Make sure you take notes in class on the specific pieces because they are on the exam.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a great way to get to know the traditions and cultures of a civilization just by what they left behind. It's so informative and makes you seem very knowledgeable in analyzing.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning how to analyze sculptures, paintings, and other expressions of art. It got me used to looking at details and asking why

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings, and as soon as class finishes add that information to a study guide so at the end, you just need to read it for the final

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great introduction to the art history. Classes are not extremely long, or boring. Professors spark up interest in the subject matter.

    Course highlights:

I learned from pre written history to gothic period of art, it was interesting and full of stylistic tools I could use in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take it as an easy A, it requires a decent amount of time and reading as it is history. Most importantly enjoy it, it is a fun course that can only enrich your imagination and make one more creative.
