    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was a great way to get to know the traditions and cultures of a civilization just by what they left behind. It's so informative and makes you seem very knowledgeable in analyzing.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning how to analyze sculptures, paintings, and other expressions of art. It got me used to looking at details and asking why

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the readings, and as soon as class finishes add that information to a study guide so at the end, you just need to read it for the final

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a great introduction to the art history. Classes are not extremely long, or boring. Professors spark up interest in the subject matter.

    Course highlights:

I learned from pre written history to gothic period of art, it was interesting and full of stylistic tools I could use in the future.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take it as an easy A, it requires a decent amount of time and reading as it is history. Most importantly enjoy it, it is a fun course that can only enrich your imagination and make one more creative.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are interested in art, as well as history, I would recommend this course to you. Being a lover of art and architecture is a great start in this course, but a vast knowledge of history will make this course much easier. If the past interests you and you enjoy to think about why we create art at all, This course allows for not only knowledge, but your own personal thoughts about art in general.

    Course highlights:

I have learned about the close connections between art and history, that art is also influenced by historical events as much as other change sin society. The periods have been broken into different styles and periods and feature vast material about characteristics of each period.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Focus on the connections between the period and history of the time. This course expects more than just listing the facts and information of every single period. In order to score higher you need to see the deeper connections beyond simple information.
