    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor was so helpful and a great teacher

    Course highlights:

Recitation was the highlight where I learned the most about chemistry

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do a little bit everyday so you are not stressed when exams come around

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry at Rutgers is very difficult. If you don't give it the time and actually understand the material, there's a good chance you'll fail. The chemistry department is very strict and they're even on probation (whatever that means). Many students fail and in fact they call chemistry a "weed-out" course. They do this because of the fact that Rutgers has a lot of students that would like to be doctors. The one Organic Chemistry professor, I heard, likes to fail students because he said "do you want to have a doctor that doesn't know these things?"

    Course highlights:

I learned that I needed to start studying differently in order to do better in my classes. You can study for hours and hours, but if your studying the wrong way, you may not even study at all. I also learned that online recitations don't work for me!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

When studying chemistry make sure when your doing practice problems you actually understand why your using the formulas your using and what your answer actually means. This is a huge deal because you can get all the book questions right, but they'll still be that question on the exam that you've never seen before and you need to apply what you've learned.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a necessary class if you would like to go further into the sciences and become a major.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this class is seeing the demonstrations for chemical reactions and scientific properties. I learned about the basic foundation of chemistry at the atomic level.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Before and after lecture read the text book on the chapter that the profesor is going over this will most definitely assist your brain in retaining the information.
