    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is very dedicated in helping the students understand the subject. However, she goes a little too fast for my liking.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the enthusiasm of the professor. I learned the basics of PreCalc and was more involved when you could tell that the professor wanted to be there.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You need to be able to learn at a fast pace to take this course.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course will save students a semester of extra pre calculus if they pass. This course I hard to get a good grade in since it is originally suppose to take 2 semesters to complete. This course feels a bit rushed and they move quickly but as long as you stay focused, complete the assignments AND the recommended problems you should do fine. This course is not impossible but you must stay on top of your work and if you are having difficulty you should get help right away. Lindboe is a great professor and her or her TA are always willing to help. Help is always accessible. I have a better understanding of pre calc but the course does move quickly and it can be overwhelming at times, but it is definitely manageable.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course is finally understanding problems you once struggled with. I personally was very bad at word problems and once I was finally able to break them down and understand them they became a piece of cake. Whenever I asked for help I always understood the material right away. The only time I really struggled was when I did not understand something and I would try to teach myself instead of getting help.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Get help when you need it. Go to office hours. Ask questions during recitation. Do not wait until last minute to do the homework, you may finish in time but you will not understand the material as well.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is extremely fast paced, and it will be difficult, especially if you are already in more difficult classes. It requires a lot of time management and you definitely have to go to office hours in order to pass the course. Review everything and sign up for tutoring, you will need extra help to pass.

    Course highlights:

Professor Lindboe was very helpful during her office hours and she goes in depth, and shows how things were derived. However, I suggest you read the lesson first by yourself and try extra problems at home before asking for help.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Have several notebooks, write down everything in class and review and rewrite your information at home. Do extra problems and ask for help in class or during office hours. Please do not skip office hours because it will be the main place where you will get direct assistance from the teacher.
