Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class created ties within your social work class. We had group work, individual assignments, and one test-- the final.

    Course highlights:

The highlights was the book, "The Other Wes Moore," and the application of theories to a real life situation. It felt like in this class we were beginning to be social workers.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You must know your APA format for this class. It is composed of 3 short written assignments and 1 developmental online quiz. The quiz is on all the chapters so you should keep up with your readings as well.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class focused on ecological perspective, and how groups, organizations, and communities have an impact on who you are. It also focused on how to work with these groups, organizations, and communities and what interventions were needed to help those with differing issues in their life.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of the course for me was when we had to attend an organizational meeting such as an AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meeting, and focus on the strengths of the meeting, the purpose behind the meeting, and how everyone worked together. This gave me a chance to look at how even when people are surrounded by strangers, as long as they have one common thing, they can work to help one another through the hard times.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

In order to get the best experience from this class, it is good to read the material for the class, and ask questions inside or outside the classroom. Also, it is always nice to use your own experiences to relate to and understand the course.
