    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is really interesting but attention needs to be paid. Notes in class are a review of the textbook so the textbook is important.

    Course highlights:

It was interesting to learn the history of policing and the different aspects of the system.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read and take notes on the textbook. Coping the slides won't be enough since it's a review of the textbook and he changes the slides fast.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was extremely interesting from the interesting lectures to the awesome videos we watched and discussions we had in class it was an all around amazing class.

    Course highlights:

My favorite parts about this course were the discussions about current events before class everyday. There were always amazing discussions with opinions being shared as well as some great debates between students about certain topics. I also thoroughly enjoyed the guest speakers, specifically the FBI agents that came in to talk to us one day. They gave us great insight into the FBI and how to get in. Considering being an FBI agent is my dream job you can guess I was totally invested and loved every second I got to speak with these men. Some of the things I learned in this course varied from just the history of policing, to the tactics police use, to getting a better understanding of my rights as a U.S. citizen. Professor Kohl did a great job of making the course diverse but at the same time staying focused on the topic of policing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would definitely recommend attending every single lecture and copying all the notes. There were a lot of notes but they were all useful and everything was on either a quiz or an exam, nothing was left out. I would also recommend attending office hours and communicating with Professor Kohl as much as possible. He is a great guy and is always willing to help and does whatever he can to help you do well in the course within reason.
