    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was a required course for a biological sciences major. This class was not hard because the material was difficult. Students found it difficult because they did not take the time to thoroughly learn the material. There was a a lot of material that had to be learned. So you have to be diligent about studying and reviewing your notes. If you do that, then you will do well.

    Course highlights:

I learned the general biological processes of the human body. The course had a lab component. The highlight for me was dissecting a pig. We worked in groups to dissect, identify, and learn about all the organs. The lab component had a final exam that you have to pass. However, as long as you understand the lab material, which correlates with lecture material, then the exam is not hard.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely attend class, take notes, and read the corresponding chapters in the designated textbook. The textbook definitely helped me learn the material. Take lab seriously because you have to pass the lab component to pass the class. Do not cram before the exam because it is a lot of material. Study throughout the semester regularly.
