    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Honestly, the greatest piece of advice would be to read ahead and study for at least 30 mins a night.

    Course highlights:

It was amazing understanding so many things that we take for granted in the world we live in.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it!!!!!!!!! It is very informative and a great source of learning new information.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Govindarajoo is a great professor. She is easy to follow along and always go beyond in helping her students. I recommend taking Chemistry 101 with Govindarajoo.

    Course highlights:

Course introduction, unit conversions, mole concept, isotypes, electron configuration, combustion, etc.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Always go to class, do the practice exams, and attend review sessions.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for two reasons. First, this course is great for students interested in a career in a science field and helps decide if they are up for the challenge ahead. Second, the course is a prerequisite for the majority of upper level classes in many subjects that involve varying degrees of science.

    Course highlights:

I learned that a career in science is no joke. Passing this class was challenging and required a lot of dedication. The great part was that once you genuinely understood the material the rest was just completing tons of practice problems to cement the information in your mind. What I learned helped me understand concepts better in General Chemistry 2.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Lots of practice problems. Especially the problems that Dr. Tavvs provides. I would also suggest attending office hours with your preferred TA or professor as often as possible, or joining a study group. Lastly, do not let the first exam scare you away. Instead, let it motivate you to improve because I promise that no matter how low the score is you ca still pass the course.
