    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this professor to those who are required to take this class. He is an extremely chill professor with tons of stories to tell.

    Course highlights:

I gained a better understanding of Hispanic culture, and a better understanding of Spanish.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course you MUST study! There is simply not enough class time for him to teach everything that you need to know. Therefore, study as much as you can!

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This teacher specifically was amazing! I feel like this has been one of my most productive learning experiences and I definitely think this has been beneficial to me outside of the classroom.

    Course highlights:

I learned many many different Spanish tenses and ways to conjugate. A ton of vocab pertaining to every day life and activities.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do the homework, and do NOT miss a class as you will miss a homework grade or a quiz grade, which WILL bring your grade down.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed my professor. She genuinely cares about her students, and tries to make the class as painless as possible. However, the course itself is ridiculous! The department assigns entirely to much busy work, which really does not help with learning the material. All it does is boost your grade. Also, they focus entirely too much on the culture. To be perfectly honest, i would rather focus on the language and not the culture. I do not need to learn about the Panama Canal, and be tested on it to learn the Spanish language. Also, the exams need to be by chapter, not three chapters together. It sets the students up to fail. All in all, I would recommend taking Spanish at another college.

    Course highlights:

Honestly, I just learned what I needed to complete the course. It was entirely too stressful, with tons of stuff to cover, and not enough time to do it. Be sure to complete the homework. It can really help your grade as well as the blogs and the composition.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to complete the homework. It can really help your grade. If you're having issues, talk with your professor. She is really interested in helping her students. She's a sweet lady, and it is not her fault that the department is really crappy.
