    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. McDonough knows his stuff and he tells it like a story and gives modern day examples. You MUST attend class AND pay attention in order to get all of the information, although attendance is not mandatory. He grades hard and expects you to know "who, what, when, where, why, and how" about each topic he discusses. I never once got bored in his class.

    Course highlights:

He's creative in telling the sequence of events in a way that makes you want to know what is coming next (even if you already know). He loves for students to interact and ask questions. I learned the true stories of many historical events, not what is "common knowledge" because, as I learned, it's usually a misconception to come extent.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Attend and pay attention!! Take notes and STUDY!! Before each test, he goes over what will most likely be on it because of course not every single piece of information in history can be jammed into a test.
