    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course was very challenging at first, but after the first few weeks the work is very structured and outlined. It was a challenging course and it really helped improve my foundations of writing much more than what they were before I took this course.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Akl is very comedic and has many excellent analogies for helping students understand the many forms of writing and what all goes into them. She also includes many excellent pictures and graphics which were very beneficial for studying.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If I were to give advice, I would suggest that students work as hard as they can on their papers. Her grading scale is tough and if you cannot write well, you will not do well in this course. However, if you are willing to put in the work, her class will transform your writing into that of a master.
