    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Mac is the best professor for Cost. He cuts out all the things you don't need to know and teaches you what you do need. He provides real life advice and application as well.

    Course highlights:

Process Costing is on of the most important things to know.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you do not take more than four courses when attending this class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Mac teaches in more of a "real-world" style which is practically useful. However, if you intend to take the CPA exam....the class lacks in technical aspects of actually solving problems.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this class was being taught how goods flow through inventory accounts and how that effects the income statement and schedule of manufactured goods. This is really key to understanding this level of cost accounting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

It is imperative that you read the chapter, especially to identify formulas and solving methods. He does not cover these in detail during class.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a great course. I learned so much about manufacturing costs and accounting. Also, McMickle is a great teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned what goes into cost accounting. It is very detailed, and it involves many formulas to calculate manufacturing costs.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard! Take notes and read all the assigned chapters. This is a tough course, and it requires your full attention. If you want to pass this course you can't sleep on the job. Stay up-to-date on the material, and you will be fine.
