    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Dunavant is very kind, and her expectations for you are clear. She is not the most engaging during lectures, but she gives you easy access to the information you need. She also arranges for you to spend time at unique clinical sites that really expand your knowledge of mental health.

    Course highlights:

This is the only class in nursing school that provides study guides for exams! Dunavant's thorough study guides make test prep a breeze. You will learn a lot about psychiatric illnesses, and you will see most of these disorders in the hospital. Your knowledge of mental health will change the way you interact with patients, particularly the way you communicate.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the study guides (as the name would imply). You really don't need to go beyond the study guide to succeed on her tests. Read the book for your own betterment. You won't need to read it to get a good grade, but it will help you in the hospital.
