    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is great for those just starting to learn about game dev. It deals with a lot of 3D work, so for those who are new to maya, etc, be prepared! Its a very great experience though!

    Course highlights:

I've taken courses that involved 3D media before and they were overall fairly bad experiences. That was not the case with this course! While 3D media was very overwhelming and frustrating for me, we had a lot of resources that were very helpful, Mr. Holtz included! I would consider him a little bit tougher as far as grading goes, but I would definitely consider him to be extremely fair as well! He was very thorough with critiques which really helped me improve from day one to the end of the course. While I found some of the course work frustrating, I walked away feeling like I learned a lot, unlike 3D courses I took prior to this one. It really boosted my confidence in working with 3D software like maya and mudbox! Also, learning unity was very interesting!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Re-read the material often, ask questions, and definitely participate in discussions regularly!!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While Jason Hunken is a very grueling teacher to have, he does push you to not only do what is asked but makes you want to Excel at everything you do. Especially in his class, an A is not an easy grade to get but if you do you feel like you've earned it.

    Course highlights:

Learning Maya and watching my self improve as not only a game developer but also as an artist was really motivating to continue my career.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't dwell on your art skills to much and save everything you do, and you will watch your self improve tremendously.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

From what I see since classes have not started, it's teaching basics and how to create projects on the computer from start to finish

    Course highlights:

I have not started the course yet

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

In general work hard and take plenty of notes
