    Course Overview:

    The fashion 120 Concepts of Colors class at AAU is a great class because it opens your eyes to world of color and how color plays an important role in fashion as well as the world. The instructor was amazing because she was very thorough and attentive. I would the take this class to immerse myself into every project.

    Course highlights:

    From this course, I gain the ability to see color schemes. I also learned how to use colors when creating a line or trying to promote a brand. We study the different cultural description of a color which is great to understand when doing international branding.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    If are considering taking this course I would recommend beginning the projects on time and set aside about two to three hours to research on colors in designs. I would recommend signing up multiple fashion magazines especially runway magazines. Enjoy the class and take it all in.

    Course Overview:

    This course was very useful for aspiring fashion designers, it breaks down every essential color concept.

    Course highlights:

    The projects were the highlights of the course. I've enjoyed learning about all of the color concepts.

    Advice for students:

    Time management is very important, as well as your work presentations. Be professional & show integrity with your work, also don't be afraid to contact the instructor if you need help.

    Course Overview:

    This course explains the theory of color which allows you to understand how to place color in your designs, especially for fashion design majors.

    Course highlights:

    Leaving this class with a professional portfolio solely for color theory is valuable if you want to work in a department of color in the fashion industry. Having a resource to look back to that is very detailed in color will be very helpful in the future

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Keep up with the assignments at all times or you will fall behind, as the course load is heavy. Give all of your effort so you will have a professional portfolio in color at the end of this course. Also, have some knowledge of photoshop since all of the assignments for this instructor required use of the program.
