Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you want to expand your thoughts on western medicine vs. other cultures this course is definitely interesting and will expand your horizons. While you may not believe everything you read, it is interesting to see how/why other cultures believe what they believe and investigate what has often been the early start to western medicine.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were the videos that we were able to watch and listening to Dr. Conklin speak first hand about her experiences. She recounts her travels with such passion, it's amazing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not take this class if your papers will come off as non believing or biased. Dr. Conklin grades for understanding and acceptance (i.e., being able to accept that other ways have meaning for other people and one is not necessarily better than the other)
