    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class was one of the best Sociology classes I've ever taken. Professor Cooter and the TA I had are always available and eager to answer questions. The subject in itself is very interesting and using race/gender as a method for analysis isn't something I really thought of.

    Course highlights:

From cultural appropriation, sport as a microcosm of society, how female athletes are portrayed in sport ads, this class was a constant learning experience. Prof. Cooter makes it easy for discussion to occur as the topics are easy to form your own opinions on.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Participation is 25% of your total grade and Prof. Cooter takes it seriously, make sure you come to class and read the material on most days. By the end of the semester she notices how many people stopped reading. Start the papers early because the TA can give you pointers if you send it with enough time.
