    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a great course. It's incredibly interesting. I won't say it's easy. You have to put in the time to care about what you're learning and a biology background helps. Overall, it's the kind of class you expect to take at this kind of school. Worth it :)

    Course highlights:

This class is different for everyone. It gives you an opportunity to recognize just how many facets there are when it comes to neuroscience. Personally, I found mental illness lectures as well as lectures on sexual behavior and the brain to be the most intriguing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read read read! It's a lot, but totally worth it! Go to class. It's so much better that way AND your grade will thank you.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because you learn about how the nervous system works including the intricacies of the brain and spinal cord. The teacher is very exciting too because she shows demos in addition to great lecture presentations.

    Course highlights:

I learned about different diseases and what methods neurosurgeons take to heal patients with the diseases. For example, we watched a video showing a neurosurgeon remove a cyst the size of a baseball out of a child's brain. Fortunately, the cyst, which was filled with parasites, did not burst when it was removed. The teacher explained how this rare cyst is obtained from dirt in the ground.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to read the textbook and study the presentation slides.
