    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Powers was such an amazing teacher for Organic Chemistry, because although it is a tough subject, and therefore he is a tough teacher, he never acted like he wanted us to fail. If we didn't understand something, and it was obvious through test and quiz scores that we weren't getting it, he would help us until we did. I got a B both semesters in Organic Chemistry and I'm still not sure how haha!

    Course highlights:

I like that he gave us pop quizzes everyday right when class started. It was always about something in lecture from the day before. Therefore, the quizzes were a great way to see if we understand the material or not.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do your work and read the material, otherwise you won't understand a thing. Not everything can be talked about in lecture, even though his powerpoints are based off of the chapters in the book. You should even read the chapters before the powerpoint lectures so you know a little more before hand. Then, he will explain the rest for you.
