Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Powell is a great and engaging professor. As classes are small, he had time to answer any question, and there are no dumb questions, he just wants you to be able to learn the material. Dr. Powell makes a point to read from the Bible at the end of every class and prays over the class before a test. His class was challenging, but not too difficult if you read and study for the class.

    Course highlights:

Although much of the information is taught in AP Chemistry, there is always new information that high schools do not teach, and CHEM 133 goes much deeper into it than in high school.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read from the textbook, study for tests, do not rely on your knowledge from high school if you took AP Chemistry. You need to develop study habits while you are in your basic courses, even if you know a lot of the material.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Mr. Powell is an awesome professor. He teaches the material thoroughly, and keeps it interesting! He does notes fast, and posts all of his notes from in class onto the canvas website after class so you can access any of his notes, anytime.

    Course highlights:

One highlight of this course: he does an electrolyte experiment in class; very cool. If you like chemistry, you'll love this class. If you hate chemistry, he just might make you enjoy it a little.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I'm almost finished with this course now, this being my first semester of college. I learned that studying isn't optional. If you want to pass, you need to study. This class, studying about 3-4 hours was a good amount.
