Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Beck makes the class fun and hilarious. Honestly I found most of the material easier to learn because of his stories and jokes. You still have to pay attention and study a little, but it is not as difficult as other courses I have taken.

    Course highlights:

We talked about the history of psychology and major contributors to psychology, like Freud, Rogers, Jung and others. He also goes over major studies that have changed how we look at the mind, for example the miner that got a pole shot through his head and lived. Except that this respectable fellow has absolutely no filter on his attitude and language.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Take notes and read the material. There are some places where he pulls directly from the book so it is really helpful to read and also to pay attention. I would opt to understand that material rather than root memorization, but there are some places where memorization would be important. Like the different parts of the brain.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is extremely informative of the basic knowledge of psychology. The information is presented in an enjoyable manner, with Professor Beck always keeping it interesting. His effective way of teaching the course by telling stories and providing many examples is what makes the course the most satisfying.

    Course highlights:

The definitive highlights of the course were the professor and the grade that helped to raise my GPA. I learned some things that I wouldn't have otherwise known that are easily applicable to real life situations immediately. Overall, its a fun course to take whether it's required for your major or not because the class and the professor are genuinely great.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to class and pay attention and you can easily get a B. With studying, it's possible to achieve a high A.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is so interesting. You learn about your daily life and why things happen.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were the psychological disorder discussions. I learned that there are certain methods that help these disorders and it really got me into thinking about psychiatry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

While this course is fun, you do need to study. There is a lot of terminology and concepts that need to be grasped.
