    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

In hind site, I would avoid Professor Yubo Fan. He is not very well organized and has trouble engaging in the classroom.

    Course highlights:

Chemistry is a fascinating subject worth study when possible. I took Chemistry to learn how the physical world was put together, so that I could apply the same concepts to building the digital world (I am a software engineer). I believe that understanding chemical concepts is pivotal to developing better methods for engineering and composition as a whole.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you do take this particular course, I would suggest spending lots of time practicing the textbook tests rather than Professor Fan's reviews/study guides. His problem-solving methods are overly complex to what is taught in the text-book, and he often makes very confusing mistakes when working problems in class.
