    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

take photos of the microscopes, because that is what will be used on the test, and all of the info talked about in class

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As odd as it sounds, this course was probably the hardest course I took in the Spring semester. The reason I recommend such course is based on its difficulty. If one is able to conquer this course, then all other courses are a breeze, well at least other first year courses.

    Course highlights:

This course really teaches you how to study in college. The amount of knowledge needed to succeed and the amount of time between practical exams forces a student to study properly. Each week a new chapter was covered sometimes two and every two weeks a test was taken over roughly three to four chapters. These chapters are littered with information. The best feeling though, was studying long enough to know basically everything and destroying the exam. Especially since it is the most failed science course for freshmen at Baylor. Overall though, I learned how to effectively study, which has translated over into all of my courses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When taking this course, one must ensure they go to every class since it is only a one day a week course. Not only is attending class a must, but reviewing at least on the weekends if not every night is strongly advised. Also, I found it extremely helpful to make powerpoints and used them as study/review guides. If you do all those things and in a timely fashion, the course will be simple and easy.
