    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is definitely a course that requires a lot effort and work, but it helped me further myself as a writer which will be handy when I graduate

    Course highlights:

The research paper at the end was really cool because it was my first experience with a proper college project.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Work a few days in advance on everything.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I mean it's a requirement. Make it better by taking it with a great teacher.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to combat writers block. But that may have had more to do with the teacher.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Just stay on top of the writing. The reason isn't super necessary but you need your book in class if you don't do the reading in order to participate in class discussions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although this course is a prerequisite for all Baylor students, Mr. Harrison makes the course entertaining and worthwhile. He is compassionate in his need for all of his students to succeed, and his witty remarks make the boring course-load seem entertaining.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to write thorough research papers that do not show my bias. Mr. Harrison prepared many exercises throughout the semester and had us write multiple papers that forced us to stay away from expressing bias towards our research. This helped me realize that although my writing was advanced, I did have the tendency to let my opinions peek through even when they are not needed. Mr. Harrison noticed that from the get-go, and helped me from day one knock out any bias from my writing.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not procrastinate on the essays. The multiple research papers are intended to help and benefit you when you begin writing your 10+ page final research paper, so really put in the time in those initial beginning papers so that your final research paper is much less work and stress.
