    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because Dr. Taylor is a great educator. Like I mentioned in my essay for this scholarship, although his course is far from easy, he genuinely cares about his students and is more than willing to help. By taking this course with him, you will be challenged to be the best you can be, which is very beneficial.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are learning from your mistakes. In Dr. Taylor's course, every mistake can be detrimental, so by making them and learning from them, you are sure to better yourself in the process, both academically and mentally.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for students considering this course is, first and foremost, to study far more than you have in your past classes. His lectures are designed to brush up on what you should already know. Meaning that you should read and study the assigned chapter in the textbook to get the information you need for the quizzes and tests. This class not at all easy, so you should give it your best at all times.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you must take BIO 2401 with Dr. Mark Taylor, I would highly recommend taking it in the summer. The distractions are limited in the summer and your concentration is solely on this course. It is a very fast paced course and it requires a lot of time studying. For this reason, I would recommend taking it in the summer.

    Course highlights:

Dr. Taylor really wants you to succeed in this course and makes it a point to test and quiz on what he teaches. It is easy to get behind, but if you do the readings and study, then you will be fine. I learned about 5 body systems and I can confidently say that I have truly learned the different aspects on human anatomy and physiology and how all these aspects interact with the other.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice to students considering taking this course is to stay on top of the readings and study the readings. Make sure you know the basic hierarchy's of the body systems. Go to his office hours because he will really try to help you succeed and perhaps explain his lesson in a different way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is really hard, but you really learn a lot! Dr. Taylor is a great teacher and will help you with anything you need. Looking back on the class, I'm glad I took it because I learned not only information, but how to study and work harder.

    Course highlights:

You learn a lot about the body. Even though a lot of it may seem tedious, knowing every detail of the picture makes it so much more interesting.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you actually go through all of the true false, he bases all of his quizzes and test off of them. Don't be afraid to go to his office hours and asking for help.
