    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is one of the most informative classes I have ever taken. Dr. Wang challenges every student to look beyond their point of view and see how other cultures and people might look at world conflicts. The books, lectures, and group discussions in the class always left me feeling challenged to examine my world. I would recommend this course to anyone who is looking for a deeper understanding of the history of man from a philosophical, religious, and social angle.

    Course highlights:

The field trip to the Mosque was an eye opening experience. In a time when Islam is such a hot topic in world and US politics this course provided an opportunity to speak with Muslims about how they view their religion. I believe this course is truly about the idea of introducing you to these alternate perspectives through direct interaction such as going to the Mosque, and indirect interaction through their literature such as reading the Quran.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

read everything that is assigned. I suggest doing this not just because it will help you in the class, but because it will cause you to truly think. You are reading works from the greatest thinkers in world history, and just skimming over the readings would be a tragedy for your education.
