Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

My Nursing Major required Tech Writing. Originally not understanding the necessity of the course, I gradually understood the importance of technical writing. Not realizing the amount of "Do's and Dont's." The course will benefit any professional occupation.

    Course highlights:

Updating my resume was my biggest take away. Having a strong resume creates the foundation of a promising future. Constructing official emails and letters was another big take away. There are so many rules, which was a weight lifted off my shoulders after learning the proper way to write in a professional setting.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Did not procrastinate essays or homework. The grammar and form of the content can be very tedious, allowing adequate time to complete the assignments is best.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Regardless of any student's declared major this course is essential to a successful career. As a student I have noticed one thing that all courses have in common, writing, and even after college into a career writing documents, letters, memos, proposals, formal reports will all be essential to whichever career path a student chooses. Not only does the course cover structure of documents but also tone and language in different forms of documents. This course is a must take for any student who wants to excel in their career.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the semester we discussed and learned how to differentiate between and construct memos, letters, proposals, progress reports, resumes, and formal reports. This course was excellent in every aspect and I highly recommend every student to take it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course teaches a life skill that will be required from every graduate in their chosen careers until the day they retire. This course is not overly challenging, just moderately time consuming. If the student is willing to put in the time and effort into this course they will be satisfied and grateful for the remainder of their college and professional career.
