    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The lectures tend to be a bit vague, so be prepared to ask lots of questions if you don't understand and some outside research if you can't grasp a subject in class. The labs are pretty easy- Dr. Clement clearly loves labs and will answer questions/provide assistance if you ask.

    Course highlights:

The labs were interesting and even fun at times. Dr. Clement's lectures can be difficult, but her funny stories make the history of chemistry easier to remember. I deeply enjoyed learning about the chemical building blocks that compose the world we live in and how they explain the processes that dictate the way we live our lives.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Ask lots of questions, both of Dr. Clement and your classmates, and be prepared to spend a great deal of time studying. DO NOT wait until the week before exams to study! There is a lot of information to absorb and it can't be done in three cramming sessions. Dr. Clement is friendly and I would HIGHLY recommend visiting her during office hours if you are struggling. Hint: she tends to drop exam tips if you visit her during office hours and pay attention in class!

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is a great way to learn the basics of chemistry, especially if you are entering a field that requires a lot of chemistry and biology courses.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course are definitely the labs. They are interactive and fun to do and help students to visualize the concepts that they're learning!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Look at the lecture notes before the lecture so that you already have an idea of what's going to be talked about and pay attention!! Read the pre lab before the lab so you already know what you're going to be doing.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is majoring in the science field, however I would also add that they take it on campus and not online.

    Course highlights:

What I liked most about this course is the information you gain from chemical bonding as well as the different states of matter.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you pay close attention to the instructor, take plenty of notes, and do not take it on-line, especially if you are a visual learner.
