Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was equally interesting and easy. The only true challenge this course offered was being an early morning class. Geology is a fun and intriguing class.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed learning the different mineral names and uses. Also their roles in life really intrigued me.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to study your notes and read the book. The first test is difficult but once you learn the format, it becomes easier to know what to study.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the professor genuinely cared about the subject and taught it in great detail. The instruction material such as lectures, powerpoints, and notes were the most detailed and insightful material I have had so far in a course.

    Course highlights:

I gained knowledge about earthquakes, oceans, topography, just to name a few. I found these the most interesting and useful to connect to real life . It is nice to know how earthquakes are measured and how the strength is calculated. The section about oceans was beneficial in explaining the different types of waves. Reading topographic maps is something that I will be able to use in life.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study to actually learn the material, do not try to just memorize it. Knowing the general topics will earn about a 50 on the test. Knowing the details and material covered in class is a must to succeed on the tests. It is necessary to put a lot of effort into the course but if taken seriously passing is highly possible.
