    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Kearns was one of the most influential teachers I've ever had the pleasure of getting to know and learn from. She is extremely clear on her instructions for class - and if you ever have a question, she's always happy to give answers.

    Course highlights:

The top highlight of this course was writing and delivering original monologues for the class. You are asked to write two pieces, and then you get to choose one to personally perform, the other monologue the professor thoughtfully gives to another classmate to perform. Seeing my written words uniquely interpreted and performed by another individual was an amazing and emotional experience that I'm lucky to have enjoyed.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

All you need to do is go to class and take good notes! Professor Kearns gives fantastic test and quiz reviews that cover all needed information to make a good grade. Also get to know the professor! She is always willing and happy to speak with students about anything they need help with.

This course was very informative and provided a good base for me to further my theater career.

The most important thing I learned was to not be scared to try something that may seem out of your comfort zone, or might seem a little scary.

    Hours per week:

    Advice for students:

Be ready to do some crazy stuff, and get ready to throw away your sense of shame.
