    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I love psychology, so this course was a blast for me! I often found myself reading well past the required readings for the day. I learned so much in this course, from personality and sleep disorders, to biases, therapies, and more!

    Course highlights:

For me, the most interesting part was reading about the abnormal stuff, like experiments gone wrong and mental disorders. I learned about an authority experiment in which college students were split into groups, one group being the prisoners and the other being the guards. I believe it was conducted in a university basement, and was supposed to last a month. However, it was cut short because the guards were being horribly cruel to the prisoners. Mental disorders are especially interesting to me since I have interacted with people who have them. One that fascinated me is called Paranoid Personality Disorder. It's a mental disorder that causes the person to be suspicious of everyone. They can't trust people, and they think that someone is always out to get them, or trying to use them, or harm them in some way.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, you will need to read and understand the material. If you are not interested in psychology, I would recommend telling yourself that it IS interesting. Faking an interest in the readings will help you keep focused and remember key ideas.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class gave me a good for semester of college experience; I had a fun teacher who taught well and made each day in that class wonderful. The brain is so complex and this class certainly expanded my knowledge on it.

    Course highlights:

I learned the brain can be tricked easily with the placebo effect and it is very simple. I could be told that I went to disney world when I was 5 and I would believe every detail given and my brain would create a false memory. The brain is very cool but can be tricked easily.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard for the tests; do all the work on time and have fun.
