This class was tough.
Course Overview:
The professor was knowledgeable in this field of study and was clear and concise in the concepts and conveying them to the students.
Course highlights:
This course lays the foundation for the other higher math courses in my field of study and Dr. Ardis was great at making the math concepts easy to understand.
Hours per week:
12+ hours
Advice for students:
You need to attend class every day and keep up with the homework. Although the professor doesn't include the homework in his grading, it is important to work the problems to reinforce the concepts and formulas.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
Calculus itself is a topic most consider arcane. Professor Galloway broke it down in a way that really helped me to understand it and I had never had any background in the subject. Don't be afraid to make mistakes, but make sure you learn from them!
Course highlights:
Take each aspect of the course one step at a time. Everything builds upon what was previously learned and your expertise with algebra and trigonometry will make or break it.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Math is like any game, you need to know the rules to be able to play. Focus on how the rules of math work more than how you think they should work and the course will be a pleasure!
