    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While the Geology class itself is not to hard, the lab portion can be tough. Identifying the minerals alone was hard challenge, but once you get past that many of the labs are interesting or even fun.

    Course highlights:

Prof. Burkett was a great lab teacher. She was engaging, helpful and would stay the whole time to help students who were having trouble. While I may not recognize every mineral on sight, any time I go hiking I recognize a geological feature I learned in the lab.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take the time if you have to study the mineral samples on the weekend, it is amazing how many look alike at first glance.
