    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I was required to take this course by my advisor. I scoffed at it initially, but it was honestly one of the most useful college courses I have ever taken! Creating a schedule or a budget, and managing one's time well may seem intuitive for some, but this course really helped me to examine my work/study habits, so that I could identify tendencies that I have which make it difficult for me to be a "successful student". Ms. Flores-Brothers is no longer teaching at Collin College, but she was absolutely wonderful!

    Course highlights:

Creating weekly/monthly schedule (be sure to include "study time" on the schedule), budgeting for school, time management/prioritizing activities, exploring student resources around campus (e.g. advising, Writing Center, navigating Cougar Web, and etc).

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just take it! It's probably best to take it as as a 1st-year student.

    Hours per week:

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It's a really great class to take even if your major is not in education. This class will teach you how to become a stronger student and how to excel in your classes.

    Course highlights:

I loved the atmosphere the class provided, it was friendly, open, and very interactive.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your homework! and pay attention in class and attend class.
