    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course simply because Professor Helms makes Biology easy to learn. She explains things really well. She gives you a "bonus packet" and ultimately it is a study guide for the test. You also get to turn this in for extra points on your test.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was doing the genetic disorder project. Basically you had to choose a genetic disorder and then make a science fair poster board explaining how the genetic disorder works, any treatment, etc. I chose Hemophilia and I enjoyed doing this project.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

DO THE BONUS PACKETS. She has designed this so that you make an A in this course because of these test prep packets.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I took Professor Williams for Biology 1406 for lab. She was an incredible professor. She teaches very quickly but if you ever need her to re-explain something, she will. She really helped my lab group out during the entire semester. I really wish I could have taken her for lecture as well but my schedule did not allow that to happen.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course for me was the blood typing lab. We were given different types of blood and added different solutions into it. We also had to determine the blood type on our own.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice for considering this course is to make sure that you take the same professor for lab and lecture if possible. I took two different professors for scheduling reasons and one of the professors was always ahead of the other. I always went into the lab not knowing anything about the topic (besides what I read on the lab manual prior to lab) because my lecture professor was behind.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it teaches a lot about cells in humans, animals and plants. It teaches how cells make up every living part of the anatomy.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are just be able to broaden your mind into how the human, animal and plant body work. I learned how cells work to make every part of organisms to move.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to read your book and work on worksheets found on the internet or given by your teacher. You want to stay ahead of the teacher so you know exactly what is going on.
