    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It's a great introduction into other biology classes. It gives you the fundamentals for what you need in further biology and chemistry courses.

    Course highlights:

The lab portion of this course allows you to be hands on with what is being taught in lecture and adds to your understanding of things like cellular structure.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

It helps to study every day and make sure you understand everything being taught. As the course proceeds, everything builds on what was taught in the earlier chapters.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Its a tough course, and most people dont take this course because they want to its usually a Degree requirement, and thats why I have a neutral take on this.

    Course highlights:

Learning about glycolysis in this class is very helpful for later classes such as biochemistry, although not as in depth as upper level biology classes this gives a good introduction to latter courses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you read the book and read her notes, she basically basis her test on the notes in class.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Nice professor, but lacks organization. Lot of moving parts, nothing is streamlined b/c she's not super tech-savvy.

    Course highlights:

Challenging course, but I did learn a lot about Biology. Prof. expects a lot but it's worth it because you do learn. There is a paper but it's not difficult. A formal lab report as well. She has specific requirements so pay attention, do what she asks, and you'll do well. DON'T MISS CLASS.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you're going to take this as a summer course, be prepared to work. I made a 97 and I took it in 5 weeks while working 45 hours/week. So it can be done, but it will take time and effort.
