Pretty easy, overall.
I would recommend this course to any and all incoming freshman. Although many people may feel as though they are ready to tackle the college world because they got accepted into their chosen university, there is a huge difference between college and high school! This particular class is perfect for "experimenting" with yourself in education, and the best introduction to how college life will be. The class is not intense and the professor is more than helpful as it is their job in this class to help you. It is not a "blow-off" class as some may think it to be, but it will be an easy A if you apply yourself and attempt to learn from all of the tips available and given from this course.
The highlights of this course for me was that my professor went above and beyond in promoting and helping me with my essays. She was so involved and encouraging that my first essay for the class ended up being submitted and used in an online magazine for Houston! It was incredible to see so much involvement from a teacher as I had not experienced that before. I also enjoyed that the class was very essay focused and helped to refine essay skills intensely. MLA formatting will never be an issue for anyone who attends this course!

Advice for students:
To succeed in this course, I would recommend simply putting forth your all into it. It is not labor intensive in this course, and it is sort of an in between of high school and college so it won't be hard to understand. The book is important and holds plenty of information that surprisingly ends up opening your eyes to new thoughts and advice to help you along during your college journey. It is a pretty simple class so as long as you do your best you are sure to pass!
