    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for individuals of any major because it is really interesting and informative. I believe what this class has to offer is very valuable information that can help individuals understand how the human body functions. Dr. Chapa is a great professor that knows what she is talking about and I highly recommend taking her.

    Course highlights:

There was not really a main subject that the course surrounded because it covered many interests. However, I can definitely say that it is a must to learn and study the different chemicals in the body and what their functions are.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would tell any student considering this course to get ready to study and there will be many late nights.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a course that is mandatory for students hoping to enter a medical profession. With that being said, it is critical that the student is disciplined and attends every lecture/lab. The information is passed very quickly and it may become difficult to catch up. Study diligently and remain focused.

    Course highlights:

Physiology was the most interesting portion of this course, in my opinion. We touched on subjects such as how your cells run through your body, as well as the many different types of cells, how your muscles move, and how your bones are formed and broken down.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Flashcards will save your life when it comes to vocabulary and key points. Refrain from skipping class and actually pay attention when you attend. Take extensive notes, ask questions, and form study groups. After every lecture, spend an hour or two going over your notes and reading the chapters. It is easier to stay familiar with the material than it is to try and cram information the night before an exam.
