Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the students learn a lot about the mind and what goes on within themselves. Thought processes, behavior, personality and so much more is learned throughout this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would have to be when the topic of drugs was discussed. We learned about how drugs can affect the mind. All drugs affect the mind in short term and long term. Learning about this topic allowed for the students to be more aware of what they consume and how they consume it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go over materials before class. Always come to class prepared. Study as much as possible. Take advantage of any study guide provided to you, it comes in handy! If you are ever confused, simply raise your hand. Do not be afraid to speak up when you need assistance.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Alvarado was very informative that really gets all her students involved intro her lectures and gives you points for participation. She is very enthusiastic and loves teaching. She makes the subject matter easy to understand and is willing to help you when you need. Very caring and respectful. Makes learning fun.

    Course highlights:

I think the highlights of the class was learning about the working of the mind and the thinking processes. The subject on how we learn about classical conditioning. It was interesting how we are taught how to relate fear and unconditioned items to an conditioned emotional response. As in the case of Little Albert experiment, in which a conditioned response to a rat the he originally was not afraid of, became afraid when combined with a loud noise. It was interesting how we can train our minds to think and respond on its own. which controls our emotions and responses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the chapters that are assigned and take good notes. also, get involved with the class discussions to earn points added to your grade. she is very thorough so pay attention to key words.
