Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend taking Intro to Chem with Dr. Grider. This course can be taken to fulfill the General Education requirements, and many people who take it fear that it will be too difficult. However, with Dr. Grider as your professor, there is no chance of being lost, confused, or even bored. He will beat the life out of an equation just to make sure that ALL of his students understand what he is teaching. He even goes as far as applying it to real life and giving in class demonstrations to prove that chemistry is awesome!

    Course highlights:

Having taken this class, I learned how to determine the boiling point of water in Tahoe, the percentage of Mercury in a cup of fresh water, and the pressure of the air in a balloon that has been placed in a freezer. These are abstract ideas, but they are completely practical to life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Chemistry is not as hard as people say it is. If you pay attention and memorize the elements, you will cruise through this course. The only difficulty I had throughout the entire course was setting aside time to memorize the information.
