    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend him because I am sure that you will not only do good in his class if you do all the work, but you will also learn the material.

    Course highlights:

In this course I learned about the atom, and how they chemically bond. Also about intermolecular forces that explains a chemical compound's boiling point and freezing points.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Consider this class like 2 classes. So do not take too many classes in combination with this one.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class for students who aren't afraid of being challenged, especially in chemistry. Maddox is probably the most difficult professor I've ever taken but I don't think I've ever learned more in any other class. This class is packed with information but if you succeed in this class, the second semester chemistry will be a breeze.

    Course highlights:

Most importantly, I gained a substantial understanding of the key concepts that make the foundation of chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This class takes a lot of time out of your week so if you're going to take it plan for that. Don't think a few hours of studying a week is going to cut it, especially if you're going onto the next general chemistry class. If you don't have a good understanding of the material in this class, you are going to have double the work in the next class.
