    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course simply because of the teacher, Mr. Procell. I've never had a professor so animated and yet knowledgeable as Procell. When it came to talking about these stories he never attempted to direct the class towards his mode of thinking. He was objective and would prod the class to think deeply about our assigned readings especially if they were controversial. Any teacher can assign texts and talk about them, few can have their students actually learn from their texts.

    Course highlights:

Definite highlight was when our class discussed Slaughterhouse 5. This can be a confusing and daunting book to read. However, in Procell's class it turned from some boring discussion to an entertaining one. Yes we learned how the time traveling worked and when and why the book was written; but to also have fun at picking the book apart (especially Billy Pilgrim). Any other class would have made this book torture to read and discuss but Not in Procell's class

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

A lot of difficult texts will come your way. These books were chosen because of how varied in style they were written. You will not read the same type of book twice. Also you might want to look into various authors. Mr. Procell loves to talk about the author's possible motivations for writing their books.
