Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I personally enjoy accounting more than business, but this course was extremely fun. A big part of this was due to Professor Adams, because his off-the-fly examples and humor helped make every concept stick. Not only did I learn the basics for running a successful business, but I was exposed to current economic events in relation to the businesses around us that I believe everyone should be aware of. I believe that even if someone is not pursuing a career in business, they should take this course.

    Course highlights:

The highlights for me were learning how businesses need to adapt to the changing environment around them in order to avoid failure. Also, we had to create our own business plan, which was fascinating because it opened my eyes to how complicated it can be to start a business and how invaluable passion is in order to follow through with an idea.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you take Professor Adams, all you have to do is "make him happy," as he puts it. Just do the required work and do not slack off. Do your best and he will see that. He is very likely to offer extra credit but only those who do the required homework are eligible, which is easy enough. Make sure you start the study guide he gives out at least a week before the test, because if you are unsure of anything on it, he is more than happy to help you during his office hours.
